Kindergarten Teacher – Early Childhood Education

About the role

The International School of Choueifat – Amman is seeking a full‑time Kindergarten (KG) Teacher to join its vibrant early‑years team. You will create engaging, age‑appropriate lessons that foster literacy, numeracy and social‑emotional growth within the SABIS® curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver daily KG lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
• Manage the classroom environment, ensuring safety, inclusivity and a nurturing atmosphere.
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing feedback on development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership on academic and extracurricular initiatives.
• Participate in professional development and SABIS® training programs.
• Contribute to school events and maintain required documentation.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in early childhood education and child development (ages 3‑6).
• Demonstrated teaching experience in kindergarten or early‑years settings.
• Experience in lesson planning and differentiated instruction.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with young learners, families and multicultural staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education; teaching certification preferred.
• Ability to create an inclusive classroom that respects diverse backgrounds.
• Organizational reliability and a collaborative approach within a structured school system.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
