About the role
The Manual Quality Engineer will ensure that software releases meet functional and non‑functional requirements through thorough testing. Working closely with developers and business analysts, you will design, execute and maintain test cases that validate product quality and support continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Write, review and execute detailed manual and automated test cases.
- Perform exploratory, regression and business‑process testing to uncover defects.
- Track defects, log them in tracking tools and follow through to resolution.
- Collaborate with developers and analysts to clarify requirements and reproduce issues.
- Recommend enhancements to testing processes, tools and documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 2‑5 years of experience in software quality assurance or quality control.
- Strong understanding of test case design techniques and the defect life‑cycle.
- Experience using test management or issue‑tracking tools such as TFS or Jira.
