Math Teacher

About the role

Amman Academy, an IB World School in Jordan, is seeking a qualified Mathematics teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction to students aged 3‑19. The role involves teaching the IB curriculum, preparing lesson plans, and contributing to a vibrant, bilingual learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver mathematics lessons in line with the International Baccalaureate framework.
• Prepare, administer, and grade assessments, including written and subject‑specific evaluations.
• Participate in demo classes, faculty interviews, and professional development activities.
• Uphold school policies such as Child Protection, Inclusion/SEN, Academic Honesty, and Positive Behaviour Management.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s values of creativity, integrity, well‑being, collaboration, respect, discipline, and educational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB setting.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Familiarity with the IB programme standards and practices is advantageous.
