Mechanical Estimation Engineer – HVAC & Plumbing

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Estimation Engineer to join a leading mechanical contractor in the United States. The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates and detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC ductwork, piping, and plumbing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC ductwork, piping, plumbing systems, accessories, and related components.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates using company‑provided estimation software.
• Analyze mechanical drawings, project specifications, and tender documents.
• Ensure correct selection of materials, connections, accessories, and system components.
• Use advanced Excel formulas for calculations, cost analysis, and reporting.
• Support tendering and pre‑construction activities.
• Review estimates for accuracy and completeness before submission.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–7 years of experience in mechanical estimation, especially for HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC ductwork, piping, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and project specifications.
• Experience using quantity‑takeoff or estimation software.
• Fluency in English.
