Music & Drama Teacher

About the role

The International School of Choueifat in Amman is looking for a Music & Drama teacher within its Teaching & Academics department. The role centres on ensuring students' success by implementing the SABIS curriculum and philosophy and using the SABIS teaching methods.

Key responsibilities

• Teach classes using the provided lesson plans (and develop them where needed from the pacing charts) so that the SABIS point system can be used.
• Mark exams according to the schedule and materials provided by the department.
• Implement the SABIS Point System to create a conducive learning environment.
• Proctor exams and manage a proper test environment.
• Support low-performing students through guidance and motivation.
• Help prepare students for external exams by reviewing past papers according to the revision schedule.
• Aid with duties such as testing students, substituting for absent teachers, organising students for lunch and buses, and other administrative tasks assigned by management.
• Take part in activity plans for events such as art, open houses and physical education, working with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions when requested by management and carry out other tasks delegated by the school.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• 1+ years of teaching experience.
• English proficiency.
• Professional behaviour, ethical conduct, accountability and continuous learning.
• Excellent communication skills.
