Observability Engineer Intern

About the role

OmniOps is seeking an Observability Engineer Intern to join its engineering team. This role offers hands‑on experience with modern observability platforms, helping to monitor and enhance the reliability and performance of applications and infrastructure across our cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring applications, servers, and infrastructure components.
• Support the collection, aggregation, and analysis of logs, metrics, and traces.
• Create and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerting rules.
• Help investigate system incidents and identify root‑cause factors.
• Contribute to performance monitoring and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Automate routine monitoring and reporting tasks.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams on observability and reliability projects.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of cloud, Linux, networking, or DevOps concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Eagerness to learn in a technical, hands‑on environment.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Familiarity with monitoring or observability tools (a plus).
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python or Bash.
