Payroll Officer

About the role

The Arab Center of Engineering Studies (ACES) is seeking a Payroll Officer to join its Jordan team. You will be responsible for processing and administering monthly payroll for multiple entities across the region, ensuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, validate and enter monthly payroll inputs such as attendance, overtime, leave, allowances, deductions, loans, advances, bonuses, new joiners and leavers.
• Process payroll in the MenaItech system, verify gross‑to‑net calculations and prepare bank transfer/WPS files.
• Calculate end‑of‑service benefits, final settlements and other termination dues in line with ACES policy and local labor law.
• Prepare statutory filings (social security, income tax, Zakat, health insurance) for each country of operation.
• Maintain payroll master data, respond to employee queries and support internal/external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• 0‑2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi‑country or shared‑services environment.
• Strong knowledge of labor law, social security and tax regulations in the assigned countries.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Proficiency with MenaITech payroll module or a similar ERP/HRIS payroll system.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
