PIMS & ALMS Engineer – Industrial Automation

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a seasoned PIMS/ALMS Engineer to lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Plant Information Management and Alarm Management solutions for key industrial customers. The role involves delivering customized automation solutions, supporting site execution, and driving continuous improvement across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and upgrade Plant Information Management Systems (PIMS) and Alarm Management Systems (ALMS).
• Implement and maintain Yokogawa PIMS/PI solutions for AMC customers.
• Deploy Yokogawa EXA solutions, including EXAOPC servers and Exaquantum PIMS Historian.
• Configure Yokogawa Alarm Management solutions and develop custom solutions for major clients such as SABIC and ARAMCO.
• Set up Exaquantum ARA, SER and AMD modules.
• Create custom ALMS KPI reports using SQL, MDX and Report Builder.
• Prepare BOMs, procure Yokogawa and third‑party hardware/software, and manage overall project procurement.
• Develop and execute FDS, DDS, FAT and SAT procedures; conduct FAT and support SAT on site.
• Troubleshoot issues on‑site, coordinate with regional support, and apply patches per YHQ recommendations.
• Follow up on purchase orders, material delivery and provide custom training to customers.
• Participate in Yokogawa’s growth initiatives and identify opportunities for additional services.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience with Yokogawa EXA Series, Alarm Management solutions and PI systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Yokogawa DCS and knowledge of OPC communication protocols.
• Previous work with OEMs is an advantage.
