QA Backend Engineer (Specialist)

About the role

Almosafer is seeking a Specialist QA Backend Engineer to ensure the quality of its backend services and APIs. You will work within an Agile SCRUM team, creating automated tests and supporting continuous delivery of travel‑technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scenarios for backend/API testing.
• Participate in sprint planning and review requirements to guarantee test coverage.
• Create detailed, well‑structured test plans and test cases.
• Convert manual regression scenarios into automated tests.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities throughout the SDLC.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable execution.
• Identify, troubleshoot and document defects during bug tracking.
• Perform functional and non‑functional testing to support development.
• Work independently to define QA tasks in an Agile environment.
• Document issues and enhancement requests with clear reproduction steps.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software testing experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience with REST Assured for API automation.
• Experience using Postman for API testing.
• Hands‑on experience with Git command line.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, tools and processes.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with project tracking tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
