QA Backend Engineer Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Specialist QA Backend Engineer to join Almosafer’s technology team. In this role you will ensure the reliability and performance of our backend services and APIs that power the leading travel platform in Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scenarios for backend and API testing using Java.
• Convert manual regression cases into automated tests with REST Assured and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in sprint planning, review requirements and create comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Execute functional and non‑functional testing, track defects and collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Estimate, prioritize and coordinate testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional software testing experience.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams and with project tracking tools.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• Java programming.
• REST Assured framework for API automation.
• Postman for manual API testing.
• Git command‑line usage.
• CI/CD pipeline integration.
