Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Gathern is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to help deliver reliable, high‑performing software. You will work closely with engineers, product managers and designers to validate new features, report issues and ensure the overall quality of our mobile and backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to test features and report issues clearly and efficiently.
• Execute manual test cases and support the development of automated tests for mobile (iOS & Android) and backend platforms.
• Validate features during sprints, contribute to regression and exploratory testing cycles, and document bugs and test results in Jira.
• Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming to provide a QA perspective.
• Use tools such as Firebase, Datadog and Postman to verify backend behavior, error rates and app stability.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in software quality assurance or a similar role.
• Familiarity with Agile development and testing practices.
• Experience testing mobile applications (iOS and Android) and backend APIs.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills and a team‑first mindset.
• Fluency in Arabic and good command of English.
