Reinsurance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Reinsurance Manager to lead and oversee reinsurance operations across Life and Non‑life lines, supporting the company’s strategic and financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and organise reinsurance treaties in coordination with the General Manager.
• Ensure accurate reinsurance data and treaty parameters are recorded in the system.
• Maintain strong relationships with local and international reinsurers and brokers.
• Coordinate facultative reinsurance placements, including retention levels, terms and conditions.
• Prepare and oversee reinsurance reports for management and the Board, supporting financial reporting and regulatory submissions.
• Monitor portfolio performance, loss ratios and risk exposures to support profitability and effective risk management.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) reinsurance regulations.
• Oversee daily operations, performance and development of the Reinsurance Department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, risk management or a related field.
• Professional certifications in insurance or reinsurance are preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in reinsurance, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Experience dealing with local and international reinsurance markets and brokers.
• Excellent communication, relationship management and reporting abilities.
