Remote Product INCI Reader & Ingredient Sorting Intern

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented intern to support our product database by reading, interpreting, and organizing INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) lists. The work will directly contribute to the development of our AI‑powered ingredient analysis feature.

Key responsibilities

• Extract INCI data from product packaging or websites.
• Sort and classify ingredients by function, comedogenicity, safety, and other criteria.
• Enter and organise data using Airtable or internal backend tools.
• Collaborate with product and scientific content teams to ensure data accuracy.
• Align ingredient classifications with EWG, EU, and other safety rating databases.

Required profile

• Background or strong interest in cosmetic science, pharmacy, skincare, or formulation.
• Excellent attention to detail and familiarity with INCI naming conventions.
• Basic understanding of skincare ingredient functions.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and able to work independently.
