Security Officer – Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea

About the role

As a Security Officer at the Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea, you will help create a safe and welcoming environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors. Reporting to the Security Manager, you will support daily security operations, monitor premises, and respond to incidents in line with IHG standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of guest areas, public spaces, back‑of‑house facilities, parking areas and hotel grounds.
• Monitor security systems such as CCTV cameras, alarms, access‑control devices and fire‑life‑safety equipment.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, accidents and guest or colleague concerns.
• Control access to restricted areas and ensure compliance with hotel security procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident, accident and occurrence reports and maintain detailed security records.
• Support fire, health, safety and emergency response procedures, including evacuations and drills.
• Assist guests and staff with safety‑related matters while maintaining a professional, service‑oriented approach.
• Investigate security incidents and report findings to management.
• Monitor contractor and visitor activities for compliance with hotel policies.
• Protect hotel assets and support loss‑prevention initiatives.
• Maintain a visible security presence during special events, VIP visits and high‑occupancy periods.

Required profile

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in security, safety, military, police, civil defence or a related field, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong observation, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Calm and professional demeanor in emergency situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a guest‑focused attitude.
• Physically fit and able to perform patrol duties.
• Fluent English; Arabic essential.
