Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the day‑to‑day accounting operations at Maaden International Recycling’s Sahab facility. Reporting to finance management, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and safeguard compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, record journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Support the budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow monitoring processes.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, local tax laws and internal policies.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Collaborate with operations and management to analyse financial performance, cost and margin of recycling activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, CMA or equivalent preferred.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, including senior or supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in manufacturing, recycling or industrial environments is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with ERP accounting systems.
• Expert‑level Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial modelling).
• Solid knowledge of IFRS or GAAP and local tax regulations.
