Senior Civil Engineer – Design & Technical (Amman, Jordan)

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead design, technical reviews, and multidisciplinary coordination for large‑scale CCGT power plants and utility‑scale solar PV projects in Amman.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil and structural designs for CCGT and solar PV projects.
• Conduct technical specifications, design reviews and ensure compliance with relevant codes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, including foundations, earthworks, roads, drainage and underground utilities.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for EPC contracts.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of civil/structural design experience.
• Proven experience on CCGT power plants, solar PV, industrial or EPC projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and ensure design quality.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ETABS, Revit, Navisworks.
• Primavera P6 (preferred).
• Knowledge of ACIA, IS, CAS, CE, EASTM, Eurocodes, IBC standards.
• Structural analysis & design, reinforced concrete & steel structures.
• Foundation design for heavy equipment, site grading & earthworks.
• Roads, drainage & underground utilities design.
