Senior Cloud Engineer – Google Cloud Platform

About the role

OmniOps is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer specialized in Google Cloud Platform to design, build and operate secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments. The engineer will own end‑to‑end infrastructure on GCP, ensuring performance and reliability for critical business workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design, provision, configure and manage scalable GCP infrastructure, including Compute Engine resources, load balancers, disks and images.
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules and automated IaC pipelines following best practices.
• Deploy, operate, upgrade and troubleshoot Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters and workloads.
• Manage Kubernetes resources, networking, storage, deployments, scaling and cluster‑level configurations.
• Monitor cloud environments to ensure availability, performance, capacity and operational stability.
• Administer Linux and Windows Server environments supporting cloud workloads.
• Design and manage cloud networking components such as VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, routing, DNS and load balancing.
• Implement and manage GCP IAM, service accounts, roles, permissions and security controls.
• Set up monitoring, logging, alerting and operational dashboards; maintain backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Participate in incident management, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating production‑grade GCP environments.
• Strong independent problem‑solver able to take full ownership of cloud services.
• Hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes, Terraform and Linux/Windows system administration.
• Ability to work under pressure, resolve complex infrastructure incidents and drive continuous improvement.
