Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor will lead risk‑based audit engagements, evaluate internal controls, and recommend improvements to strengthen governance, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audit assignments in line with the annual audit plan.
• Support the annual risk assessment and contribute to the internal audit plan.
• Conduct operational, financial, and compliance audits across business functions.
• Evaluate control effectiveness, identify gaps, and suggest process improvements.
• Perform audit testing, document findings, and assess risk impact.
• Prepare comprehensive working papers and audit reports, presenting results to management.
• Report significant control weaknesses, fraud indicators, and policy violations to the Audit Director.
• Monitor corrective‑action implementation and follow up on recommendations.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify and manage key business risks.
• Participate in special reviews, investigations, and ad‑hoc audit projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management or a similar area.
• Professional certifications (CIA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) are a plus.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of internal auditing standards, risk‑based methodologies, accounting principles, and internal control frameworks.
