Senior Observability Engineer

About the role

A Senior Observability Engineer is sought in Amman to ensure the performance and efficiency of the company's Monitoring platform. The role works closely with engineers and data scientists to build systems for near real-time data collection and analysis, using Elastic Stack, OpenTelemetry (OTEL), Grafana, Prometheus and other telemetry frameworks to manage customer AI workloads, automate engineering processes and improve efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze metrics, logs and traces to identify performance bottlenecks and errors.
• Instrument metrics where desired telemetry is unavailable.
• Drive actions to improve system health, performance and key metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service reliability and performance.
• Develop and refine metrics to assess the performance and effectiveness of runtime inferencing.
• Lead efforts to reduce latency and improve throughput, efficiency and utilization.
• Keep the team up to date with industry trends and technologies in observability and performance engineering.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in observability and high-scale monitoring and observability systems.

Required skills

• Experience with Elastic Stack, Grafana, Prometheus or other telemetry frameworks.
