Senior PHP Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior PHP Software Engineer at Tarjama&, you will lead the design, development, and optimisation of scalable server‑side solutions. You will work across cross‑functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure that applications are robust, secure, and aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve micro‑service based architectures that are decoupled, scalable and maintainable.
• Develop high‑performance PHP back‑end services, RESTful APIs and integrate them with front‑end and third‑party systems.
• Implement data storage solutions using MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis.
• Write unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests, conduct code reviews and continuously improve code quality.
• Define and enforce security measures, including API security, authentication and data protection compliance.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, high‑impact software.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and promote best‑practice coding standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience developing PHP applications and micro‑services.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior developers.
