Senior Urban Planner – Bid Management

About the role

The Senior Urban Planner – Bid Management leads the end‑to‑end proposal process, from reviewing RFPs and preparing technical and financial deliverables to submitting bids and handling post‑tender queries, while offering technical guidance to the team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage proposal preparation through submission and post‑tender responses until award.
• Provide technical input to colleagues handling other proposals.
• Mentor less‑experienced or newly‑joined team members.
• Execute any delegated tasks within safe, efficient timelines as directed by line management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in master planning, urban planning, urban design and major infrastructure projects.
• Extensive planning experience in a consultancy or local authority, including preparation and submission of planning applications.
• Knowledge of sustainability issues in the public realm (LEED or similar is an advantage).
• Familiarity with the MENA engineering consultancy market and experience interfacing with sub‑consultants, preparing scopes of service and evaluating quotations.
• Strong written communication in English (Arabic preferred) and ability to translate and present technical information.
