Shift Technician – Maintenance & Guest Services

About the role

The Shift Technician provides on‑site maintenance and repair support for hotel guests and facilities. Working in a fast‑paced environment, you will ensure that all equipment, rooms and public areas remain functional, safe and presentable.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, HVAC and mechanical room assets.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Carry out basic painting, drywall, wood‑trim repairs and surface preparation.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and manage lockout/tagout procedures before work.
• Service landscaping, sprinkler systems and exterior grounds.
• Update HVAC schedules, adjust temperature settings and perform routine filter changes.
• Communicate shift activities and issues to the next team using approved protocols.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and as part of a shift team.
• Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and assist with heavier items.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Commitment to safety, security policies and confidentiality.
