Strategic Partnerships and Business Development Manager

About the role

Plan International Jordan is seeking a Strategic Partnerships and Business Development Manager to lead the identification, development, and management of partnerships that support programme delivery and fundraising. Reporting to the Head of Resource Mobilisation, the role is based in Amman and involves regular travel across Jordan.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess funding opportunities and potential partners in line with the country strategy.
• Lead the preparation of high‑quality technical proposals, including narrative drafting and data collection.
• Coordinate partner due diligence, draft MoUs, and ensure compliance and value for money.
• Develop and implement guidance and tools to promote equitable partnership approaches.
• Represent Plan International Jordan in donor and coordination forums as delegated.
• Facilitate internal coordination between programme, MEAL, finance and operations teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership building and business development within the humanitarian or development sector.
• Strong understanding of donor requirements and proposal development processes.
• Excellent analytical and coordination skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
