Sustainability Officer – Carbon Analyst

About the role

This position supports the measurement, analysis and reporting of greenhouse-gas emissions linked to freight, transportation and logistics services. The successful candidate will help produce accurate, transparent carbon reports that enable customers to understand and reduce supply-chain emissions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare customer carbon-footprint reports for air, road and sea freight, calculating Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions using GHG Protocol and GLEC methodologies.
• Collect, clean and structure operational logistics data from multiple internal systems; develop and maintain Excel-based calculation models and automated workflows.
• Perform quality checks, validate data and calculate emissions-intensity metrics such as emissions per shipment or per tonne‑km.
• Support the creation of customer-facing dashboards and respond to ad-hoc analysis requests, providing insights on emissions drivers and reduction opportunities.
• Identify and implement improvements to carbon calculation tools, reporting processes and data quality, staying up-to-date with emerging standards.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in an analytical or quantitative role.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and capacity to work independently under deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Data‑analysis tools such as Python, R, KNIME, Alteryx or Power BI.
• Familiarity with GHG accounting frameworks – GHG Protocol and GLEC.
• Understanding of logistics and freight transportation operations.
