About the role

Tafila Women Charity Association is looking for a qualified Psychiatrist to join the Amal Family Counseling Center in Tafila Governorate. The role involves delivering comprehensive psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and emergency case management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and medical‑psychological evaluations.
• Diagnose mental health conditions and determine any underlying organic causes.
• Develop, prescribe, and monitor medication regimens, including side‑effect management.
• Respond to acute psychiatric emergencies such as self‑harm ideation or severe aggression.
• Provide clinical consultation to psychologists, social workers, and family counselors.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create integrated treatment plans.
• Deliver psycho‑education to families and support long‑term caregivers.
• Prepare medical reports for legal or family matters and maintain accurate case records.

Required profile

• Board‑certified specialist in Psychiatry with a valid Jordanian medical license.
• 1–5 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Preferable subspecialty in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, or Family Psychotherapy.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
