Team Leader – Jordan Growth and Prosperity Programme

About the role

The Team Leader will provide overall strategic leadership for the Jordan Growth and Prosperity Programme (JGAP), a UK FCDO‑funded initiative aimed at strengthening economic resilience and fostering job‑rich growth in Jordan. Reporting to the Programme Director, the role bridges macro‑level fiscal reforms with micro‑level market‑systems interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the senior representative of JGAP with the FCDO, Government of Jordan and consortium partners.
• Define and drive the strategic direction of both macroeconomic reform and private‑sector market‑systems activities.
• Translate policy priorities into implementable actions that deliver measurable economic outcomes.
• Navigate complex institutional environments, remove delivery constraints and ensure programme results are visible and sustained.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and coordinate activities across consortium partners.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience at the intersection of government reform and private‑sector development.
• Demonstrated ability to work with donor agencies and government counterparts.
• Strong track record of translating policy into concrete, results‑oriented programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder‑engagement and negotiation skills.
