Technical Architect

About the role

Al-Ma'bar Contracting Company, a construction and contracting firm based in Amman, Jordan, is hiring a full-time, on-site Technical Architect. The Technical Architect prepares, reviews and updates technical and construction drawings so they align with design intent, project specifications and local building codes.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and modify CAD drawings and coordinate with architects, engineers and site teams
• Resolve technical design issues that arise during construction
• Support project documentation and maintain drawing standards
• Contribute to design detailing and value engineering
• Review contractor submittals to ensure architectural details are implemented correctly on site

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related field
• Strong foundation in architecture and architectural technology, able to turn design concepts into technical solutions
• Knowledge of local building codes, standards and construction practices in Jordan
• Attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to resolve technical issues
• Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to work full time on site in Amman and meet project deadlines

Required skills

• Proficiency in technical and construction drawings for various project types and phases
• Hands-on experience with CAD tools and architectural drafting software
