Uniform Attendant

About the role

The Uniform Attendant ensures that all hotel linens, uniforms and guest garments are cleaned, inspected and returned to service in a timely and professional manner. Working in the laundry department of a Marriott International property in Aqaba, you will operate a range of washing and dry‑cleaning equipment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning and drying machines, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps as required.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide whether to rewash, spot‑treat, repair or discard.
• Inspect cleaned articles for quality and place them in clean linen carts.
• Set dryer times and temperatures according to fabric specifications.
• Remove lint, debris and clean filters after each load.
• Fold or use folding machines to achieve designated sizes.
• Maintain accurate records of all items processed.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any incidents.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Comfort working in confined, elevated or slippery areas and navigating stairs or ramps.
• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism and teamwork.
