Uniform Attendant

About the role

The Uniform Attendant ensures that all hotel linens, uniforms and guest garments are cleaned, inspected and returned to service efficiently. Working in the laundry department of a Marriott hotel in Aqaba, you will operate washing, drying and dry‑cleaning equipment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, drying and dry‑cleaning machines, add appropriate chemicals and clean lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, spot‑treatment, rewash or discard.
• Inspect cleaned articles, sort them into clean linen carts and fold them to designated sizes by hand or using a folding machine.
• Set dryer times and temperatures according to fabric type and remove lint, debris and filter residues after each load.
• Maintain accurate records of all items processed.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior laundry or related experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift items up to 25 lb.
• Willingness to work in a team‑oriented environment and follow instructions.
