Unit Manager - Insurance

About the role

MetLife is hiring a full-time, on-site Unit Manager in Amman, Jordan. The manager oversees a team to achieve sales, service and operational objectives within MetLife's local business, working closely with senior leadership to implement strategies, ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and maintain high standards of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Set performance targets, monitor results and provide regular coaching, feedback and support to team members
• Plan and organize work schedules, review reports and metrics, and identify areas for improvement
• Coordinate training and development initiatives and build a positive team culture
• Resolve escalated issues and represent the unit in cross-functional meetings and projects

Required profile

• Experience in team leadership and people management, including performance monitoring, coaching and mentoring
• Background in financial services, insurance or related sectors, with knowledge of sales processes and customer service standards
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management or a related field; advanced certifications in insurance or leadership are an advantage
• Fluency in English and Arabic, written and spoken, is highly desirable

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including comfort with reporting, metrics and data-driven decisions

• Organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in insurance or financial services
• Proficiency in standard office software and business tools; familiarity with CRM or policy administration systems is beneficial
