Vulnerability Analyst I

About the role

The Vulnerability Analyst I will work on the Department of Defense (DoD) network, conducting comprehensive security assessments, analyzing vulnerabilities, and supporting remediation efforts to protect sensitive information and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of the DoD SWA network.
• Develop and implement action plans to manage common vulnerabilities and exposures.
• Design and distribute daily report templates to maintain at least a 95% overall vulnerability compliance rating.
• Monitor Information Assurance Security Alerts & Bulletins and respond rapidly to cybersecurity incidents.
• Coordinate with other cybersecurity divisions (e.g., IDS/IPS & ArcSight) to detect exploitation attempts.
• Recommend improvements to the overall cybersecurity posture.
• Communicate effectively with management and senior military personnel.
• Maintain working knowledge of vulnerability management tools such as Tenable and Nessus.
• Provide technical and operational support to functional end‑users.

Required profile

• Ability to obtain and maintain a host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with senior military and management staff.
• Commitment to achieving a minimum 95% vulnerability compliance rating.
