Coordinator of Volunteers

About the role

The Coordinator of Volunteers is a full-time, on-site position based in Amman, responsible for organizing and supporting the volunteer community behind StrataSpaces' activities and programs. The coordinator recruits, onboards and schedules volunteers for podcasts, magazine production, events and workshops, and provides ongoing guidance and feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and schedule volunteers for podcasts, magazine production, events and workshops
• Design and deliver volunteer training sessions and communicate roles and expectations clearly
• Maintain volunteer records and monitor volunteer engagement
• Coordinate community outreach initiatives and foster an inclusive volunteer culture
• Collaborate with student leaders to align volunteer work with club goals
• Address volunteer concerns and improve processes to enhance the volunteer experience

Required profile

• Ability to oversee volunteer management and training, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling and support
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and give feedback
• Experience or interest in community outreach, such as organizing events, workshops and initiatives
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle several projects and teams at once
• Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral and non-discriminatory practices
• Prior experience in volunteer coordination, student clubs, community organizations or event management is beneficial; a background in architecture, design or related fields is an advantage
