Data Architect / Engineer – AI Hub (Amman)

About the role

Join EY's AI Hub in Amman as a Data Architect / Data Engineer. You will work with clients and internal stakeholders to design and deliver modern data platforms that enable data‑driven transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage up to two advisory projects simultaneously, collaborating with senior business leaders (Directors and Partners).
• Assess current‑state data architecture, identify gaps, and define target‑state blueprints and road‑maps.
• Guide technology choices across cloud and big‑data ecosystems, ensuring governance, protection, migration and cloud enablement are addressed.
• Contribute to business development by spotting new opportunities and supporting market growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data‑architecture advisory and delivery in a consulting environment.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills and ability to work across cybersecurity, data‑protection, analytics and data‑science teams.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and risk‑aware data‑management practices.

Required skills

• Design of end‑to‑end data architecture blueprints and target‑state road‑maps.
• Modern data‑platform design (data lake, data warehouse, lakehouse patterns).
• Scalable ingestion and integration (batch, streaming, event‑driven architecture).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of NoSQL concepts.
• Experience with Hive in big‑data environments.
• Hands‑on ETL/ELT design and delivery, including Informatica implementations.
• Metadata management, end‑to‑end data lineage, data‑governance and data‑protection frameworks.
