Demi Chef – Full‑time role

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a motivated Demi Chef to join its kitchen team at the Dead Sea Road property in Sweimeh, Jordan. This full‑time, non‑management position supports the culinary team in delivering high‑quality meals and maintaining kitchen standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, cold dishes, and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures and manage food thawing from freezer to refrigerator.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, garnish, and maintain accurate food logs.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials, and update service staff on menu changes.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee coaching as needed.
• Follow all company safety, security, and hygiene policies, reporting any incidents or maintenance needs.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
