Head of Finance – Real Estate Development

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead the financial strategy, operations and controls for a leading real‑estate developer operating across residential, mixed‑use and hospitality projects. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures profitability, risk management and strong governance across all development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for all development projects.
• Oversee feasibility studies, investment analysis and financial modelling for land acquisitions and new builds.
• Monitor project cash flows, construction budgets, sales collections, escrow accounts and overall profitability.
• Manage project financing, including construction loans, refinancing, banking relationships and lender reporting.
• Coordinate with development, sales, procurement and legal teams to align financial objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Control contractor payments, cost tracking, variation analysis and expenditure controls.
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, investors and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, regulatory requirements and audit processes.
• Oversee treasury, working capital, debt obligations and funding across multiple entities.
• Develop internal controls, financial policies and risk‑management procedures.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 13+ years of finance experience in real‑estate development, construction or property investment.
• Current experience with a tier‑1 real‑estate developer, preferably based in Jordan.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA or CFA preferred.
• Strong leadership, analytical and communication abilities.
