Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager oversees daily shift operations for housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry (when applicable) at a hotel property in Aqaba. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and inspected to meet quality standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily housekeeping shift activities, verify room status communication with the Front Desk, and conduct daily guestroom inspections.
• Prepare work assignments based on immediate cleaning needs and upcoming check‑outs.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, ensure adequate stock, and verify that staff have proper equipment and uniforms.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial impact, and strive to meet or exceed budgeted goals.
• Supervise staff compliance with housekeeping policies, standards, and procedures.
• Train new room attendants, schedule staff according to business demand, and track time and attendance.
• Administer fair disciplinary procedures, document actions per SOPs, and support employee recognition programs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required for degree holders).
