Italian Chef de Cuisine

About the role

The Italian Chef de Cuisine will lead the restaurant kitchen in Amman, ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction. You will combine hands‑on cooking with team leadership, menu creation, and operational management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain culinary standards, food safety, and proper storage temperatures.
• Supervise kitchen shifts, coordinate cooks, and ensure compliance with all Food & Beverage policies.
• Develop, design, and execute daily and seasonal menu items, including special guest functions.
• Plan food quantities, plating requirements, and estimate daily production needs.
• Manage purchasing, staffing, budgeting, and overall kitchen operations.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve performance and productivity.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of culinary experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts/Hotel & Restaurant Management with 2 years experience.
• Proven ability to lead a kitchen team and handle day‑to‑day operations.
• Strong understanding of sanitation, food standards, and relevant regulations.
