Junior Quality Control Engineer

About the role

The Junior Quality Control Engineer supports the QA team by executing test cases, reporting defects, and helping to create test documentation. This entry‑level position is ideal for candidates passionate about quality assurance and eager to develop their testing skills under senior supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Execute functional, regression, and integration test cases according to test plans.
• Report and document defects clearly, tracking their resolution with bug‑tracking tools such as DevOps.
• Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with developers and other QC members.
• Learn automation tools and help develop simple automation scripts.
• Conduct basic API and performance testing with guidance.
• Support static testing activities and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Continuously improve testing skills following best practices and company procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Eagerness to learn automation tools and scripting languages.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with DevOps or similar bug‑tracking systems.
• Basic knowledge of Jira (optional).
• Basic SQL knowledge and ability to execute simple queries.
