Private Sector & Gulf Partnerships Internship – UNDP Regional Hub

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Regional Hub in Amman is looking for an intern to support its growing portfolio of private‑sector engagement and Gulf‑region partnerships across the Arab States. Working under the Sustainable Finance and Private Sector Specialist and the Deputy Regional Director, the intern will gain hands‑on experience in partnership development, donor relations, and regional research.

Key responsibilities

• Research and map private‑sector actors in the Arab region, creating company profiles and sector analyses.
• Assist in preparing background materials for private‑sector due diligence and risk assessments.
• Maintain records of corporate partnership opportunities, including financial and in‑kind contributions.
• Update and monitor the pipeline of private‑sector partnership opportunities.
• Support donor‑intelligence work on Gulf funding priorities, track announcements, and identify partnership prospects.
• Prepare briefing notes, talking points, presentations, and follow‑up records for engagements with Gulf‑based partners.
• Help organise high‑level meetings, missions, and UNDP participation in regional events, summits, and forums.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recent graduate of a university programme related to international development, economics, business, or a similar field.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work under supervision and collaborate with a multicultural team.
