Senior Infrastructure and Cloud Specialist

About the role

The Senior Infrastructure and Cloud Specialist designs, implements, supports, and optimizes complex IT infrastructure across on‑premises data centers and hybrid cloud environments. You will lead advanced virtualization and hyper‑converged deployments, ensure high availability, security, and performance, and mentor junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper‑V, AHV) including cluster setup and resource optimization.
• Administer enterprise‑grade servers, storage arrays, SAN switches, and tape libraries.
• Lead deployment and configuration of hyper‑converged platforms such as Nutanix, VxRail, Cisco HyperFlex, and Huawei FusionCube.
• Implement and maintain data protection strategies using Veeam, NetBackup, Acronis, Veritas, etc.
• Manage and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and Solaris operating systems and related services (Active Directory, DNS, domain controllers).
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for complex incidents and drive resolution of critical production issues.
• Support migration and integration projects for infrastructure modernization and hybrid cloud enablement.
• Document system designs, implementation procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with project teams and vendors to deliver solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to skills development within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in systems engineering, infrastructure design, and support.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced enterprise environments and lead technical projects.

Required skills

• Expert‑level administration of VMware, Hyper‑V, and AHV.
• Cloud administration experience with Azure, OCI, or AWS.
• Strong knowledge of VMware SRM and related technologies.
• Backup and recovery platforms: Veeam, NetBackup, Acronis, Veritas.
• Operating system administration: Windows, Linux, Solaris.
• Infrastructure services: Active Directory, DNS, domain controllers.
• Hyper‑converged infrastructure: Nutanix, VxRail, Cisco HyperFlex, Huawei FusionCube.
• Storage and networking: SAN switches, tape libraries.
