Senior Network Security Engineer

About the role

Nextwo is looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise‑level network security across both on‑premise and cloud environments. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise with firewall, load‑balancer, and cloud networking technologies to protect mission‑critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure network architectures in enterprise and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Manage Palo Alto Networks firewalls – policies, NAT, VPNs, threat prevention, URL filtering, and HA.
• Administer F5 BIG‑IP LTM and ASM modules for traffic management and application security.
• Configure and operate Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control.
• Support Cisco switching infrastructure – VLANs, STP, trunking, routing, QoS, LAN/WAN.
• Monitor security performance, conduct vulnerability assessments, and apply hardening and patching.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and remediation for network‑related security events.
• Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and security reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 + years of experience in network security engineering within enterprise environments.
• Proven hands‑on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and F5 BIG‑IP solutions.
• Strong background in Azure cloud networking and Cisco security technologies.
