Senior Non-Key Experts – Green Transition in Jordan

About the role

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is seeking senior non‑key experts to support the Green Transition in Jordan under its Greening Financial Systems Technical Assistance Programme. The experts will provide deep technical expertise to design, structure and implement blended finance solutions, risk models and green financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and structure blended finance facilities and partial portfolio guarantees.
• Conduct portfolio‑level risk modelling and assess capital impact.
• Develop and operationalise green financial products.
• Perform environmental and technical validation of energy‑efficiency and renewable‑energy investments.
• Provide MSME advisory, aggregation models and cooperative finance solutions.
• Integrate gender and inclusive‑finance considerations into financing packages.
• Support marketing, communication and awareness‑raising for target sub‑borrowers.
• Develop monitoring, reporting and environmental‑impact measurement methodologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of international experience in finance, risk analysis or green‑energy projects.
• Proven track record in blended finance, guarantee structuring and portfolio risk assessment.
• Technical expertise in energy‑efficiency and renewable‑energy investment validation.
• Experience advising MSMEs, mid‑caps and cooperative finance models in emerging markets.
• Strong understanding of gender‑inclusive finance and impact measurement.
