Service Engineer – Industrial Automation & Control

About the role

INTECH Process Automation is looking for a Service Engineer to join its Operations & Maintenance team. The engineer will design, develop, program, and maintain industrial automation and control systems, ensuring reliable plant operations and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and program PLC and SCADA control systems, preparing functional specifications and system architecture.
• Develop, test, and implement PLC and SCADA programs; configure HMI/SCADA interfaces for process visualization.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain existing control systems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT); support commissioning and startup activities.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to analyze performance and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, cybersecurity best practices, and maintain proper documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineering.
• 10+ years of control systems experience, including at least 5 years in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and in multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Siemens PLCs (S7‑200, 300, 400, 1200, 1500), Step7, TIA Portal.
• PCS 7 (preferred).
• Allen Bradley ControlLogix and RSLogix 5000.
• Industrial communication protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP.
• Ladder, Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Structured Text (STL) programming.
• PLC and SCADA development, HMI/SCADA configuration.
• MS Office suite (Excel, Word) with MS 365.
