SME Relationship Manager

About the role

The SME Relationship Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with small‑and‑medium‑enterprise clients, driving growth of credit and deposit portfolios while ensuring compliance and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage existing SME accounts and acquire new SME clients.
• Upsell credit facilities and coordinate cross‑selling of other business‑unit products.
• Implement marketing strategies and promote digital banking services.
• Identify client needs, recommend suitable products, and ensure simultaneous growth of credit and deposit portfolios.
• Conduct field visits, collect documentation, and prepare credit and call reports.
• Monitor client solvency, handle complaints, and oversee credit renewal processes.
• Liaise with internal teams to guarantee high service levels and timely turnaround.
• Ensure adherence to banking policies, credit risk guidelines, and collection procedures.

Required profile

• University degree in Business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in SME or corporate banking within a leading international or regional bank.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Strong understanding of banking products, lending practices, and financial statement analysis.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and meet sales targets.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
