Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will ensure accurate financial record‑keeping, cash handling and reporting for a luxury hospitality property in Amman. This position supports the finance team by maintaining compliance with company policies and delivering timely financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings and documents for accuracy; organize and maintain all financial files, records and cash equivalents.
• Record, store, access and analyze computerized financial information; classify, code and summarize data using journals, ledgers or computers.
• Prepare, maintain, audit and distribute financial, accounting, auditing and payroll reports.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and issue bills, invoices and account statements.
• Follow‑up on past‑due accounts and vendor invoices until resolved.
• Prepare daily consolidated cash deposits and document cash variances.
• Administer cashier banks and contracts while adhering to company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related accounting or finance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
