Acquiring Tech Lead – Center of Engineering

About the role

The Acquiring Tech Lead will head the Center of Engineering (CoE), building a high‑performing engineering hub that delivers quality products and services. You will oversee the engineering team, drive talent growth, and ensure technical objectives align with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a large engineering team, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
• Design and implement staffing strategies, creating a CoE structure with the right mix of skills.
• Balance skill distribution across freshers, junior, mid‑level, and senior engineers to foster cross‑skilling.
• Conduct performance reviews and identify improvement areas.
• Develop talent attraction, cross‑skilling, training, and mentoring programs.
• Collaborate with HR, procurement, facilities and other internal teams to secure resources and support project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field.
• 10+ years of technology experience, including project delivery or product development.
• 5+ years of management experience leading 50+ engineers and building cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong leadership, SDLC knowledge and familiarity with agile, waterfall, or hybrid models.
• Basic exposure to the payments domain is a plus.
