AI Data Associate – German Language (Generative AI)

About the role

Amazon is expanding its generative AI capabilities and seeks an AI Data Associate fluent in German to support data labeling and annotation across multiple modalities. You will help ensure high‑quality training data for large language models while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to Amazon’s responsible AI standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strict confidentiality of customer data and follow Amazon privacy policies.
• Label and annotate text, speech, audio, image, and video data using in‑house tools and detailed guidelines.
• Deliver high‑quality labeled data that meets KPI targets.
• Perform foundational labeling tasks such as dialogue evaluation across modalities.
• Analyze root causes of labeling errors, identify patterns, and propose process improvements.
• Support daily operational deliverables for multiple task types and provide floor support for internal queries.
• Identify and suggest changes to standard operating procedures, tools, and processes to unblock operations.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or higher (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Advanced English proficiency (CEFR B2/C1) and C1+ fluency in German.
• Experience drafting client‑ready documents, emails, and internal reports.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem‑solving, and research skills.
• Ability to interpret detailed instructions and make sound judgments with ambiguous information.
