AML Team Leader

About the role

The AML Team Leader will oversee the daily anti‑money‑laundering and counter‑terrorist‑financing activities for Uwallet, ensuring that all screening, due‑diligence and reporting processes are performed accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Guide AML team members to complete customer and third‑party screening and due‑diligence processes each day.
• Prepare and submit responses to the AML Unit and regulatory authorities for any AML/CTF concerns.
• Implement dual‑control procedures and review suspicious cases, providing recommendations to the Risk & Compliance Manager.
• Define, update and communicate the core duties of AML team members.
• Design and deliver training sessions on AML and CTF topics.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate new AML/CTF requirements into core systems and automated solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in AML, compliance or related financial services.
• CAMS certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of verification, KYC processes, mobile financial services, and international legal requirements.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
