AML/TF Unit Manager

About the role

The Bank of Jordan is looking for an experienced AML/TF Unit Manager to lead its anti‑money laundering and terrorism financing efforts. You will ensure the bank complies with local and international regulations while protecting its reputation and financial security.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the AML/TF unit, implementing policies, procedures and controls.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive AML/TF program aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Identify, assess and mitigate AML/TF risks across the bank.
• Oversee customer due diligence, including high‑risk relationship reviews.
• Conduct regular training and awareness programs for staff.
• Investigate suspicious transactions and report to authorities in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, regulators and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare AML/TF reports for senior management and regulators.
• Perform periodic risk assessments and internal audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, law or a related field (Master’s or AML/TF certifications are a plus).
• Minimum 8 years of AML/TF compliance experience, preferably in banking.
• Proven experience managing an AML/TF team.
• Strong knowledge of AML/TF laws, regulations and best practices.
• Deep understanding of customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence and KYC processes.
• Excellent analytical, investigative, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AML/TF monitoring systems and software.
