Assistant Director of Loss Prevention

About the role

The Assistant Director of Loss Prevention supports the Director in overseeing daily security and loss‑prevention operations, safeguarding property, employees and guests while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director in developing and implementing emergency and safety procedures.
• Maintain logs, certifications and required documentation in accordance with law and SOPs.
• Supervise security staff, monitor patrols, and ensure effective protection of assets.
• Handle complaints, resolve disputes, and negotiate resolutions.
• Implement action plans to monitor and control risk, reporting violations to management.
• Train employees on emergency protocols, accident and fire‑prevention measures.
• Collaborate on continuous improvement of departmental performance.
• Act as Director of Loss Prevention in their absence.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least four years of security/loss‑prevention experience, OR a two‑year degree in Criminal Justice (or related field) with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to supervise and lead security teams.
• Strong understanding of investigative procedures and risk‑management practices.
